Shelter for Abused Women & ChildrenShelter Kicks-off Domestic Violence Awareness Month by Educating with Emery BoardsFor Immediate Release: 9/19/07 Naples, FL –Members from the Peace Lutheran Youth Group will be distributing Emery Boards on behalf of the Shelter for Abused Women & Children at seven locations, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Sunday, September 30, 2007, as part of National Domestic Violence Month activities this October. “How exciting to see children take such an active role in raising awareness about domestic violence and the programs and services available at the Shelter for Abused Women & Children,” details Shelter Volunteer & Resource Coordinator Jackie Young. The emery boards feature the Shelter’s 24-hour crisis line number, 239-775-1101, as well as the organization’s web address, www.naplesshelter.org and serve as an inconspicuous way to distribute life saving information to victims of intimate partner abuse.
