Naples, FL – The Shelter for Abused Women & Children is seeking volunteers to support the nonprofit’s activities in the Immokalee Outreach Office.

“At this time we especially need individuals who would be able to assist us in sorting through donations and food items,” explains Immokalee Program Supervisor Lucy Ortiz.

The Shelter’s Immokalee Outreach Office, located in Immokalee, is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and provides the same safety planning, counseling, support groups and outreach services as offered in Naples.

Both the Shelter for Abused Women & Children’s 24-hour crisis line (239-775-1101) and emergency shelter, which serve all of Collier County, as well as Bonita Springs and Lehigh Acres, are housed in Naples.

“Volunteering at our Immokalee office is a wonderful way for people to give back to the community, help break the cycle of abuse and heal shattered lives,” concludes Ortiz.
