For Immediate Release: 1.9.08 Naples, FL –The Shelter for Abused Women & Children, in conjunction with the Naples Botanical Garden, is presenting a Bottled Butterfly Book Signing event featuring author and seasonal resident Penny Lauer on Friday, February 1, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Naples Botanical Garden, 4820 Bayshore Drive, Naples. Guests will enjoy a tour of the Garden’s Butterfly House, as well as sharing time with Shelter Guild Member Penny Lauer as she signs copies of Bottled Butterfly. The novel will be available for $26.99 with $10.00 from each sale benefiting the Shelter’s life-saving programs and services. Bottled Butterfly is set in rural Ohio during the 1930’s and 40’s and delves into “the themes of family dynamics, social and religious culture, and significant life events that influence the intellectual and emotional development of children.” Lauer, an Ohio native, is a seasonal resident of Naples and has been involved with the Guild of the Shelter for Abused Women & Children since its inception in 2004.
