For Immediate Release: 11/28/07 Naples, FL – The Shelter for Abused Women & Children is collecting new and used cell phones at more than 50 locations in an effort to provide emergency access to police for countless women and children suffering from domestic violence. “If you’re buying a new cell phone, we urge you to donate your old one to the Shelter,” explains Volunteer & In-Kind Resource Coordinator Lissette Santos. “The cell phones enable victims of domestic violence to have immediate access to Collier County’s 911 emergency phone service which can save their lives.” Cell phones can be dropped off at the Shelter’s Options Thrift Shoppe (968 Second Avenue North) and more than 50 locations from Marco Island to Bonita Springs, including the following sites:
