Naples, FL – Whether excited by exotic excursions or pleased by pearls, the Shelter for Abused Women & Children’s eighth annual Mending Broken Hearts with Hope Luncheon’s Raffle and Silent Auction, 11 a.m., Friday, February 29, 2008, at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, offer something to please.

The luncheon, which features best-selling crime novelist and former Manhattan Prosecutor Linda Fairstein, includes a Raffle featuring two magnificent items:

  • An exquisite Tahitian South Sea Black Pearl necklace made of 41 picturesque pearls ranging from 12mm to 9.5mm and featuring an 18 carat white gold clasp highlighted by .30 carats of diamonds. Donated by DuFrane Jewelers, Ltd.
  • An 11-night cruise for two, July 15-26, 2008, aboard the Regent Seven Seas, Baltic Adventure, deluxe suite. The cruise departs from and returns to Stockholm with stops in Tallinn, Estonia, St. Petersburg, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Denmark. Economy class airfare included. Donated by Preferred Travel of Naples. (This cruise is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and has no cash value. Port charges, government fees and fuel surcharges are the responsibility of the winners).

Individuals need not be present to win (winners will be notified); one ticket for $35 or four tickets for $100.

The Shelter’s signature luncheon begins at 10 a.m. with the new “Designers’ Boutique at The Ritz”, scheduled for both Friday and Saturday, February 29 and March 1, 2008, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and also features a silent auction and general reception, both beginning promptly at 11 a.m. The luncheon program will start at 12:30 p.m.

This year’s Silent Auction includes an exciting array of items, such as:

  • St. John’s outfit valued at $3,000 courtesy of St. John’s & Saks Fifth Avenue, Waterside. Includes two tickets to the exclusive St. John Fashion Gala with Saks Fifth Avenue scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples.
  • A week’s stay in San Miguel (8 bedroom/8 bathroom home complete with maid service)
  • $1,000 Gift Certificate for the Lenox Group at Miromar Outlets, Estero
  • 3-night stay at the San Destin Hilton
  • A ‘S.A. Chrobak Photographic Artists’ session featuring a pre-portrait consult, the photography session (at winners location of choice), post-shoot consult and personal delivery of the heirloom quality portrait
