Naples, FL – Join the Shelter for Abused Women & Children in meeting the needs of some 600 victims and survivors of domestic violence this holiday season and beyond! “Each year, we provide a happy holiday for some 600 adults and children, but our needs extend well beyond holiday gifts and this special time of year to providing basic necessities throughout the year,” explains Shelter Volunteer & In-kind Resource Coordinator Lissette Santos. “We need community to support to continue to touch the lives of more than 4,000 women, children and men face-to-face annually.” At this time, the Shelter is seeking food, toiletries and new, unwrapped gifts for the holidays. Please, non-violent toys, videos, books, tapes or CDs only! Please remember batteries for toys that require them. Special Attention: Children ages 9-17yrs. (especially boys). Immokalee families need gift certificates to buy new shoes and ethnic dolls.
