Give Back - Fill a Pack

June 7 - August 1, 2013

Help The Shelter reach our goal of 500 filled backpacks!

Help The Shelter provide schools supplies to our young participants not only this fall, but throughout the year ahead as their families access life-transforming programs and services! We have several ways for you to get involved:

  • Adopt a Student: Fill the back to school needs of one of more students. Just let us know how many students you'd like to "adopt" and we'll provide you with a basic school shopping list, the age and gender of your student(s)
  • Back to School Wish List: Host your own Give Back Donation Drive or choose anything from the Back to School Wish List to donate towards our efforts
  • Donate a Dollar: From June 7 - August 1, 2013, stop by Options Thrift Shoppe and donate a dollar (or more) and help fill our little school house

Be sure to visit Options Thrift Shoppe, 968 Second Avenue North, Naples FL 34102, to track our Give Back - Fill a Pack progress as you watch the "Ruler Rise!" Donations can be dropped-off Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information and to participate in Give Back - Fill a Pack, call 239.775.3862, ext. 235, or email RThompson@NaplesShelter.org

Cell Phone Recycling Program - Ongoing

Donate new or used cell phones to The Shelter and provide life-saving access to emergency services for adult and child victims of domestic violence, dating violence and elder abuse.

Collection boxes placed throughout Collier County provide a convenient means for individuals to recycle both phones and chargers. The majority of phones recycled are charged and given to adults and children in danger, allowing them to make emergency 911 calls only. The Shelter also works with business partners that properly recycle collected phones and, in return, make a cash contribution to the nonprofit organization.

For more information on our Cell Phone Recycling Program, including details on how to host a Cell Phone Recycling Drive, please call The Shelter at 239.775.3862, ext. 235, or email to RThompson@NaplesShelter.org
