The Shelter is pleased to provide accommodations, including American Sign Language interpreters, assistive listening devices, alternative formats of printed materials and real-time captioning upon request from persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or are living with disabilities. Fit N' Fun Field Day...Unplugged!

A morning of three-legged races, obstacle courses, sack races, soccer dribble with the FGCU Men’s Soccer Team and more! The Next Generation Board of The Shelter, 16 fabulous young professionals in the Collier County community under the leadership of The Shelter, chaired by Gordon Kellam and Dylan Sanders, is hoping your family will join theirs for a FIELD DAY to support The Shelter and healthy relationships.  Grace Frey and Caroline Ridgway, chairs of Fit ‘n Fun Field Day have pulled out all the stops to make this a fun AND FIT morning.  Put down the iPods, come do the dizzy bat race, and indulge in a BeachDog hotdog all for The Shelter for Abused Women & Children.

Options is now providing a personalized, after hours shopping experience for interested groups. Available by appointment only to groups of 20 or more on weeknights from 5 - 8:00 p.m.

Join The Shelter for Abused Women & Children in creating solutions to end violence in our homes, schools, neighborhoods and communities.


Download the pledge, have your family, friends, students, coworkers, etc., join you in signing the document and post it as a reminder that you have made a commitment to peace in your home, school, business, civic organization and community.


 Cell Phone Recycling Program - Ongoing

Donate new or used cell phones to The Shelter and provide life-saving access to emergency services for adult and child victims of domestic violence, dating violence and elder abuse.

Collection boxes placed throughout Collier County provide a convenient means for individuals to recycle both phones and chargers. The majority of phones recycled are charged and given to adults and children in danger, allowing them to make emergency 911 calls only. The Shelter also works with business partners that properly recycle collected phones and, in return, make a cash contribution to the nonprofit organization.
